Originally formulated as a powder/liquid based version of the original Hydroxycut Max, Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets provided a multi-flavored option for the described “intense power” of Hydroxycut Max. Prior to the 2009 recall of several products including Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets, Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets were considered to be among the most popular Hydroxycut sellers with 2 major blends.
The Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets formula was originally comprised of over 20 different ingredients, most of which were teas equipped with both healthy antioxidants and fat burning caffeine. However, it was also made with ingredients such as the stimulant free fat burners cissus quadrangularis and raspberry ketones as well as the cleansing dandelion root.
Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets used 2 separate matrices made to improve mood, fight potentially harmful free radicals, and quite a bit more. There was a time when we could have said that the Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets formula could promote potential fat burning and health benefits considering all of its ingredients. However, we find that the recall and FDA release gets in the way.
Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets were recalled along with 13 other popular Hydroxycut products May 1, 2009. Nobody ever released a statement as to why it was that Hydroxycut products were causing these particular problems, but FDA officials were rather specific about Hydroxycut products causing things like heart disease, liver failure, and rhabdomyolysis, and specifically recommending that consumers avoid any Hydroxycut product at that time.
The official FDA stance has become neutral since then, in part because Hydroxycut recalled 14 major products, replacing them with other products comprised of what some would consider to be safer ingredient options that have not yet caused any serious reported side effects. However, Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets won’t be reappearing any time soon.
